People ask me all the time, what is your favorite part to photograph on the wedding day? Honestly, I love just about every moment... but there is something really lovely and special about the getting ready process. I love the anticipation and the excitement. I love the hustle and bustle as everyone puts on some of the most beautiful clothing they'll ever wear in a room with their best friends and family. I love seeing the bride's eyes light up when she sees her hair and its exactly what she hoped for. These moments are so fleeting and sometimes so subtle that it is what makes it an essential feature in the final wedding album.
I accompanied Chris Loring, of Chris Loring Photography, last May to capture Stacey and Aaron's Vail Wedding as her second photographer. Both the bride and groom had amazing two story suites that were just down the hall from one another. It was a fantastic way to capture both of them getting ready on the morning of their wedding day. I loved these images so much that I wanted to share just this one piece of their wedding day. I hope you love them as much as I do! Enjoy!

Just before everyone left to go to the ceremony, Stacey's daughter received a gift from the groom (and her soon to be daddy). She opened it with such care and sat in silence while intensely looking it over. It was obvious that to her it wasn't just a photo in a picture frame. After a few moments, she looked up to show her aunt and both of their eyes welled up with tears. It was a moment I won't ever forget.
